BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 26% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The Mets have yet to take the field in 2021 due to COVID protocols, but once they finally do, Brandon Nimmo is expected to serve as their primary leadoff hitter. There's little wonder as to why, considering that the 28-year-old boasts a career .390 OBP and has cleared the .400 mark in two of the last three seasons. During that three-season stretch, he's also popped 33 home runs and scored 144 runs in just over 1,000 plate appearances.
Of course, even taking the shortened 2020 slate into account, that number of trips to the plate is low for that amount of time. Nimmo has had difficulty staying healthy, and it's the biggest reason why you can find him on the waiver wire in three out of every four Yahoo leagues right now. But if he can stay upright, the stacked lineup behind him gives him a shot at scoring 100 runs. Along with 15-20 HR, a handful of steals, and a palatable batting average, that would make the 28-year-old a tremendous value.
