BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ PPR Leagues
OWNED IN: 7% of Yahoo! Leagues
ANALYSIS: In a season where he was expected to be the fourth, maybe fifth wide receiver on the depth chart, Brandon Lafell has consistently been the No. 2 man for the Bengals behind A.J. Green. Unfortunately, that has not turned into reliable fantasy numbers this season. Lafell has caught three touchdowns on the year (including one last week) and has yet to top 95 yards on the season. He does, however, post fairly consistent catch totals, making him appealing in deeper PPR formats. Lafell has caught at least three passes in eight of his last nine games dating back to Week 5. He usually only posts a handful of yards, but in PPR he is good for 6-8 points per game.
If you are in your fantasy playoffs in a deeper PPR league and need a receiver, Lafell should continue to rack up a few small catches a game. A potential changing of the guard at quarterback could trip things up however, as Andy Dalton could potentially be replaced by AJ McCarron in Cincinnati. Keep an eye on the situation, but Lafell should still be a deep PPR league target in those formats where he is not already owned.
