ANALYSIS: The Cincinnati Reds' bullpen is a mess right now, but they have gotten surprisingly good returns from some of their young starters. Brandon Finnegan entered the year with four starts under his belt, but is pitching like a seasoned veteran. He has three quality starts in five starts, despite facing the Phillies, Mets, Cardinals and Cubs twice. He drew attention by no-hitting the vaunted Cubs lineup through six innings his first time facing them. They got the better of him next time around, putting up five runs in five innings. Still, Finnegan holds a 3.86 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. His control can still improve as evidenced by his 4.82 BB/9 and five home runs allowed. With experience, Finnegan could emerge as the ace of the Reds staff and a fantasy force.
