ANALYSIS: How many more times are you going to make me write a post about Brandon Clarke, seriously? It's been a good bunch of weeks in a row now, and although fantasy GMs finally broke the 50%-threshold when it came to rostering this young man, that figure still feels rather low for the contributions this guy is giving Memphis and GMs through the 2022 season. Find a spot for Clarke in your lineup because you won't regret it any time soon, folks.
Is Clarke ever going to start a game for Memphis? I mean he did for a day back on Jan. 14, yes, but odds are he won't see a starting call any time soon... yet he doesn't need it! Clarke is playing his low-yet-steady 23 MPG since flipping the calendar page to the year 2022 a couple of months ago. He's posting über-efficient fantasy scores that have him averaging a ridiculous 1.20 FP/min (league average 0.90) in the past 23 games, and an even better 1.30 mark in the past eight (all of them played in February). That's a per-minute stud right there.
Clarke is averaging a 13-8-2-1-1 solid line in February and has yet to finish a game in single-digit scoring figures this month. Of course, he's not going to stretch the floor at all, so forget about that. Good thing, though: Clarke is shooting 65% from the field on a near-9 FGA diet nightly, while he's adding fantastic numbers on all other statistical categories. Clarke is one of only two players putting up a 10-5-1 line with 1+ BPG on fewer than 20 MPG over the season.
