BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has had trouble meeting expectations so far this season. He's averaging just 3.7 catches, 39.7 yards, and zero touchdowns per game.
Optimism that Aiyuk might rise to the occasion with George Kittle (hamstring) and Deebo Samuel Sr. (calf) sidelined in Week 3 never came to fruition. Aiyuk caught just five passes while teammate Jauan Jennings instead broke out, catching 11 passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns.
Kittle and Samuel are both up in the air for Week 4 against the New England Patriots. Even if neither of them can suit up, it would be hard to trust Aiyuk as anything more than a WR2 given how he performed last Sunday.
Brandon Aiyuk
Trust the process.
Season-high 10 targets Week 3.
Only converted 5 catches, but is being utilized as a high-end WR2.
Good schedule: NE, ARI, SEA
Could most likely acquire as a flex after Jauan Jennings boom game.

One positive factor working in Aiyuk's favor, however, is the Patriots' defense. Christian Gonzalez has been a lockdown corner so far, but other members of the New England secondary haven't fared as well. The Patriots have allowed the second-most receptions and ninth-most receiving yards to opposing receivers so far this year.
Managers should deploy Aiyuk as a WR2 in leagues with 10 teams or more. He certainly has top-five upside, but he hasn't finished higher than WR40 (half-PPR) in a single game so far this season.
