BALLER MOVE: Start in 10-Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: The long offseason for Brandon Aiyuk is almost over and it looks like it will end with Aiyuk in the same place he started it: San Francisco. After months of trade rumors, Aiyuk remains a 49er heading into the team's Week 1 meeting with the New York Jets.
Assuming that doesn't change between now and the game, Aiyuk is a solid low-end WR2 play for Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season. Last season, Aiyuk finished with a career-high 1,342 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
Most weeks, Aiyuk would rate as a top 15 or so play at wide receiver, but he drops a few spots in the Week 1 rankings because of his matchup against the Jets. Last season, New York allowed 2,861 passing yards, the second-fewest in the league. This is a difficult opening game for the San Fran passing attack.
After GM John Lynch said they expected him on the field today, #49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk is not there to start practice, per local media.

Of course, fantasy managers should continue to monitor Aiyuk's status, as there's still a chance he can be traded between now and the official start of the season.
