BALLER MOVE: Add as Handcuff
ROSTERED IN: 45% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: New York Jets running back Braelon Allen shouldn't garner much consideration off waivers. He can be picked up as a free agent as a handcuff to lead running back Breece Hall, but under the new coaching regime, he's unlikely to have a big role. It seems as if the Jets offense intends to cap Hall's touches.
Breece Hall had a 57% running back rush share in Week 8, and he improved on that in Week 9, getting it to 79%. He's fallen below a 12% target share in just one game this year, too.

Hall had a bigger share of the running back usage in Week 9, but he saw just 17 touches. The team rarely gives him more than 21 touches, and Allen generally handles more of a load when the team uses its running backs. It would be surprising to see this change in the future, making No. 0's weekly workload unpredictable.
It's tough to start him with any confidence in any leagues moving forward as long as the starter remains healthy, but his usage would spike if Hall were to miss time. This is the perfect formula for a player that's only useful to fantasy managers as a handcuff, so that's how he should be viewed.
