Last Sunday Blake Bortles and the Jacksonville Jaguars lost a close one to the New York Jets, ending any hopes of turning the season around.
It wasn't for lack of effort, throwing for a season high 381 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Things could look even better this week when he faces the Baltimore Ravens.
Baltimore has given up an average of 284 pass yards per game, good for 4th worst in the league. With Bortles throwing for over 300 yards in 3 of his last 4 games, all signs point to this being another big game.
Allen Robinson seemed to find his stay in Revis Island a pleasurable one, catching 6 balls for 121 yards. In a much more attractive matchup this week, the Ravens are giving up 207.9 yards per game to the wide receiver position, 2nd worst in the league.
As of right now, Allen Hurns is officially questionable. If active, expect him to get a fair share of targets in this dreamy matchup. In other injury news, Julius Thomas is listed as probable with an abdomen issue. He practiced in full this week and should be fine, but gets a challenge as Baltimore has somehow only given up one touchdown to a tight end so far this season.
All in all both of these teams are bad, especially at defending the pass. This should be a shootout and Blake Bortles will have plenty of opportunities to put up big numbers this afternoon.
