BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 57% of leagues
ANALYSIS: It is normal to find rookies a little bit over-rostered early in the season because of what we know as the Novelty Bias: a 19-year-old fresh off averaging a double-double in college!? Give me two! Who wants a 34-year-old veteran when you can land a rook!? That approach, though, doesn't usually work too nicely as rookies take some time to develop more often than not.
Bennedict Mathurin might actually be the exception that proves the rule. Obviously, Paolo Banchero and Jaden Ivey have scored more total FP than Mathurin, but also obviously they were drafted inside the top-5 by their franchises. Mathurin has been the best-of-the-rest rookie to date. His 352 total FP rank third among freshmen and Jabari Smith (who is fourth) only has 277 FP through Saturday.
The window to grab some shares is starting to close given the near-60% rostership, so go punch that Add button while the opportunity is still there. Mathurin is averaging nearly 20 PPG over his 12 games (all of them played off the pine) to go with 4 RPG and 2+ APG. He's hitting 2.8 3PM per game and has a 1:1 assists-to-turnover ratio that isn't bad at all considering his 27% USG rate.
Mathurin has failed to score 11+ points just once in 12 games (8 PTS vs. New Orleans last Monday) while hitting buckets with ridiculous 45/45/83 shooting splits. In the NBA as a whole and with at least 13 FGA and 6 3PA per game, only Mathurin, Desmond Bane, and Spencer Dinwiddie are keeping up those percentages at such volume.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 8% of leagues ANALYSIS: The surge of Deni Avdija in all fantasy leaderboards has a very easy-to-grasp reason and that's Kyle Kuzma missing time with an injury.
