BALLER MOVE: Add in 15-Team Leagues/ NL-Only
ROSTERED IN: 5% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Chicago Cubs pitcher Ben Brown is worth adding in 15-team leagues and NL-only formats.
The former Ward Melville Patriot has a 6.10 ERA and 1.45 WHIP across 10 1/3 innings. However, his ratios are heavily inflated by his major league debut, in which he allowed six runs, five hits, and two free passes through only five outs.
When removing that rough appearance, Brown has a 1.04 ERA and 0.92 WHIP across 8 2/3 innings.
Brown threw four innings of long relief against the Colorado Rockies, only allowed one run, and struck out five. Then a few days after, Brown made his first career start in San Diego, where he threw 4 2/3 shutout innings with only three hits, one walk, and struck out five.

His recent two outings demonstrate his potential, and he is worth adding in deeper leagues. It's crucial to monitor his second career start against the Arizona Diamondbacks next week. If Brown delivers another strong performance, the 24-year-old will start to become a must-add in shallow formats.
