Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller

5043 articles

You won't find a bigger Cubs fan than myself. Aside from my love of fantasy sports, which includes MLB, NFL and NBA, I own my own animal care business. I graduated from Columbia College in Chicago and currently reside in Chicago, IL. My love of fantasy sports started for me in the early 2000's and I have steadily been active with the same group of friends year in and year out for every league in baseball, basketball and football. I am hoping to help all RotoBaller members with any questions they may have. I consider myself an expert with minor league prospects, as it is a love of mine. I hope to give the best advice I can to the RotoBaller world!

He draws a good […]

Dylan Covey Gets Demolished On Friday

Addison Russell Hits A Grand Slam On Friday

Chicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell hit a grand slam on Friday to give the Cubs the lead and eventually the win. It was Russell’s only hit on the day, but he has now homered in consecutive games. Russell is beginning to heat up and now is the time to go after him in all formats.

Kyle Schwarber Sends One Deep Versus The Twins

Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber finished Friday’s contest 1-for-2 with a pair of walks. Schwarber crushed his 16th home run of the season and is now hitting .239 with 37 home runs. The average isn’t ideal, but Schwarber continues to be a nice source of power for fantasy owners.

Chicago Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored on Friday. Heyward continues to hit the ball well and is making a case to be owned in mixed leagues. Heyward has mostly hit in the No. 2 spot of the order, which is favorable for him to […]

Mike Montgomery Picks Up A Victory Friday

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Mike Montgomery picked up his third victory on Friday versus the Twins. Montgomery allowed five runs (three earned) on seven hits, three walks and five strikeouts. Jeff Samardzija Will Make Final Rehab Start Monday

San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija will make his fourth and final rehab start on Monday for Triple-A Sacramento. Owners would be wise […]

Miguel Gonzalez Pulled Off Of Rehab Assignment

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Miguel Gonzalez (shoulder) will be re-evaluated after feeling discomfort in his shoulder. Gonzalez pitched in a rehab game on Sunday, but came out of it not feeling well. Gonzalez will get checked out by doctors and then the team will go from there.

Yolmer Sanchez Sitting With Quad Injury

Chicago White Sox third baseman Yolmer Sanchez will rest Friday after leaving Thursday’s contest early with a quad injury. Sanchez is considered day-to-day at the moment. Willson Contreras Absent From Friday’s Lineup

Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras will get a day off on Friday versus the Twins. Chris Gimenez will replace Contreras and bat eighth in a tough battle versus Jose Berrios.

Javier Baez Resting Friday

Chicago Cubs second baseman Javier Baez will rest on Friday. Baez has been on fire with a .452 batting average over the past two weeks and should be back in the lineup on Saturday. Jason Heyward Will Sit Thursday

Chicago Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward will sit Thursday versus the Dodgers. Ian Happ will replace Heyward in right field and bat seventh. Happ can be avoided in DFS Thursday as he draws a tough matchup versus Clayton Kershaw. Heyward should return to the lineup on Friday.

Avisail Garcia Hits Another Home Run Wednesday

Chicago White Sox outfielder Avisail Garcia went 1-for-4 on Wednesday with a home run. It was his second straight game with a home run.
