Dak Prescott Records Three Scores in Week 6
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott recorded three touchdowns on Sunday, throwing two and running in one. He completed 17 passes on 27 attempts for 183 yards. He ran the ball 11 times for 82 yards. It was a new career high in rushing yards for Prescott, who could have had a bigger fantasy day if […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoZach Ertz Scores Again in Week 6
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz caught seven passes for 43 yards and a touchdown on Thursday night. He was targeted nine times, which was his lowest target total of the season. The score saved what would have been an otherwise disappointing game for Ertz, as 43 yards is also his lowest yardage total so […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoNelson Agholor Gains 91 Yards in Week 6
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor caught three passes on Thursday, gaining 91 yards. He was targeted five times. While the 91 yards look nice on paper, they were mostly gained by accident, as 32 yards came on a batted ball and 58 came on an excellent play by quarterback Carson Wentz, who escaped pressure […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoAlshon Jeffery Scores Twice in Week 6
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery scored two touchdowns on Thursday night, catching eight passes for 74 yards. He was targeted 12 times and had absolutely no problem with Janoris Jenkins and the Giants secondary. With Carson Wentz and Jeffery both getting healthier and looking more and more in sync each week, Jeffery should stick […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoCorey Clement Scores a Touchdown in Week 6
Philadelphia Eagles running back Corey Clement ran the ball 11 times for 43 yards and caught three passes for 26 yards on Thursday night. One of his carries resulted in a touchdown. Clement came off the bench after Wendell Smallwood got the start, and Smallwood ended up with 19 touches to Clement's 14. Still, Clement […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoWendell Smallwood Can't Do Much Despite Logging 18 Carries
Philadelphia Eagles running back Wendell Smallwood was given 18 carries on Thursday but was unable to do much with them, racking up just 51 yards. He only caught one pass, and it went for no gain. Smallwood out-touched Corey Clement 19-14, but Clement was clearly the better player. Clement should continue to outplay Smallwood going […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoCarson Wentz Tosses Three Touchdowns in Week 6
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz completed 26 of his 36 pass attempts for 278 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran the ball twice for 14 yards. Wentz looked like his pre-injury self in this one, and should be back for good after some struggles in Weeks 3 and 4. He'll be a QB1 going […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoCole Beasley Not a Good Choice for a Week 6 Lineup
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley is not a recommended fantasy option for a Week 6 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Cowboys offense has struggled to move the ball in general this season, but especially in the passing game. This week, they get to take on the league's best pass defense in a game […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoMichael Gallup Not an Option for Week 6 Matchups
Dallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver Michael Gallup is not a starting option in any format for Week 6. The Cowboys offense is struggling to move the ball through the air, and they get to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars, the league's best pass defense, this week. In five games, Gallup has put up six catches […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoAllen Hurns Not a Fantasy Option in Week 6
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Allen Hurns remains well off the fantasy radar for a Week 6 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hurns has caught a grand total of eight passes this season, gaining 84 yards and scoring one touchdown. That's not even a WR1 game most weeks, let alone when it is five weeks combined. […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoEzekiel Elliott Is the Only Cowboy Worth Using in Week 6
Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is the only Cowboys offensive player worth using in fantasy leagues in Week 6. Elliott has been held to 90 total yards or less in three of the five games so far this season, but he's still a usage hog, getting an average of 23 touches per week. He […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoDak Prescott Set to Disappoint Again in Week 6
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is not a recommended fantasy option in Week 6. He hasn't finished in the top half of quarterback scoring in any game this season, and he now gets to take on the league's best pass defense. The Cowboys, in fact, have now gone eight straight games without scoring more than […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoZach Ertz Looking to Continue His Excellent Season in Week 6
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz will look to continue his excellent start to the season on Thursday Night Football against the New York Giants. Ertz is the first tight end in the history of the NFL to draw 10 or more targets in each of the first five games of a season. The Giants […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoNelson Agholor Quickly Falling Out of Fantasy Relevance
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor hasn't been able to do much this season and has become a player who can't be trusted in starting lineups in shallow leagues. Agholor and the Eagles take on the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football, and he should be left on the bench in all leagues. He's […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoAlshon Jeffery Could Struggle in Week 6
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery could struggle in Week 6 against the New York Giants. Jeffery has looked healthy since getting a late start to the season due to a shoulder injury, but he'll be taking on Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins on Thursday Night Football. Last year, Jeffery only came down with eight total […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoWendell Smallwood a Solid Option in Week 6
Philadelphia Eagles running back Wendell Smallwood is a solid option for Week 6 against the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football. Smallwood has been effective when given the opportunity, finishing two of the past three weeks as the RB14 or better. Now that Jay Ajayi (torn ACL) is done for the season, Smallwood and […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoCorey Clement the Preferred Eagles Option for Week 6
Philadelphia Eagles running back Corey Clement was deemed "100 percent, good to go" for Week 6 by coach Doug Pederson. With Jay Ajayi (torn ACL) out for the season, Clement and Wendell Smallwood will be splitting backfield work for the Eagles. Despite coming off a quad injury, Clement is the preferred fantasy option this week […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoCarson Wentz a Decent Option in Week 6
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz is a decent option in fantasy for Week 6. The Eagles take on the Giants on Thursday Night Football, and the rivalry game always makes for good TV. Wentz has improved each week, finishing as the QB22, QB15, and QB8 in his three starts so far. The Giants have been […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoGeoff Swaim Leads the Cowboys in Receiving in Week 5
Dallas Cowboys tight end Geoff Swaim caught three passes on Sunday night, gaining 55 yards. The 55 yards were the most by any Dallas player, and the three catches were only behind Ezekiel Elliott. That's how bad the Dallas offense was in this one: Geoff Swaim was the second most productive player on the field. […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoCole Beasley Only Catches One Pass in Week 5
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley caught just one pass in Week 5, gaining eight yards. Beasley only showed up on the stat sheet because the game went into overtime. At the end of regulation, Beasley hadn't made a single catch. He and all of the Dallas wide receivers are useless in fantasy this season.
David A Marcillo 6 years agoMichael Gallup Gains Just Six Yards in Week 5
Dallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver Michael Gallup caught just one pass in Week 5, gaining six yards. He was targeted three times but did nothing, much like the rest of the Dallas offense. It's been a disappointing season so far for the promising rookie, and it doesn't look like that will change anytime soon. He's […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoAllen Hurns Scores a Touchdown in Week 5
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Allen Hurns scored a touchdown in Week 5 against the Houston Texans. Hurns was only targeted three times, and his one catch went for a three-yard score. He's been mostly invisible on the field this season, and despite some promising signs in the preseason, he's become waiver wire fodder by now. […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoEzekiel Elliott Struggles to Get Going in Week 5
Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott had a hard time finding any room to run in Week 5 against a tough Houston Texans defense. Elliott ended up running the ball 20 times for just 54 yards, adding seven catches for 30 yards. The whole Dallas offense looked rough again in this one, and they brought […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoDak Prescott Struggles Again in Week 5
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott struggled in a Week 5 loss to the Houston Texans, completing 18 of his 29 pass attempts for 208 yards. He connected on one touchdown, but was intercepted twice. He was able to add 36 yards on the ground, but it was another weak outing from Prescott after a somewhat […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoJake Elliott Makes Two Field Goals and an Extra Point in Week 5
Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott made two field goals in Week 5 along with an extra point. His field goals came from 30 and 28 yards out. Elliott has been a solid fantasy kicker this season, making all eight of his extra point attempts and six of his eight field goal tries.
David A Marcillo 6 years agoShelton Gibson Catches a Long Pass in Week 5
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Shelton Gibson caught one pass on Sunday, gaining 48 yards. He only made one catch, but he made it count, gaining almost half the field. He's got some nice upside long term, but likely won't make enough noise this season to be worth rostering in redraft leagues.
David A Marcillo 6 years agoJordan Matthews Targeted Just Once in Week 5
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthews was targeted just once on Sunday, catching it for a four-yard gain. Matthews hasn't done much in his return to the Eagles, and his playing time dropped after he played on 47 snaps in Week 4. He's not a legitimate fantasy option in any format at this point.
David A Marcillo 6 years agoNelson Agholor Catches Four Passes in Week 5
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor caught all four of his targets in Week 5, gaining 45 yards. The four targets was a season low for Agholor, and he's been quickly trending downwards since Carson Wentz took over at quarterback. He's on the WR3/4 borderline and is better as a depth piece than a starter […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoAlshon Jeffery Catches Just Two Passes in Week 5
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery was targeted eight times in Week 5, but only came down with two passes, gaining 39 yards. Jeffery seemed to be running well, but he was shadowed by Vikings defensive back Xavier Rhodes, who was able to limit Jeffery's chances. He'll have another tough matchup against the Giants and […]
David A Marcillo 6 years agoDallas Goedert Targeted Just Twice in Week 5
Philadelphia Eagles rookie tight end Dallas Goedert was only targeted twice in Week 5, catching both for 16 yards. Since Alshon Jeffery returned to the field, Goedert has only caught four balls for 29 yards. He's an excellent dynasty/keeper piece, but can't be started this season as long as the Eagles pass catchers are healthy.
