We're on to the second round of the fantasy football playoffs, and now more than ever, it's crucial to stay updated on injury situations. With one of the last opportunities to pick up waiver wire players coming up tonight, it's incredibly important to know if players you manage on any of your fantasy teams are hurt and in danger of missing time.
It's the most horrible time of the year for your players to go down, but there's nothing you can do aside from figuring out what's happening and adjusting to the situation. Knowing who you should spend your last FAAB dollars and waiver claim priority for can be the difference between advancing to the championship and being eliminated.
Let's take a look at three key players, whether they're hurt and if they're in danger of missing time.

Is Patrick Mahomes Hurt?
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes II (ankle) hurt his ankle in Week 15 at one point in the game and had to be helped off the field while limping. The injury looked pretty bad in real-time, but we'll obviously have to wait until closer to Week 16 to see just how serious it is.

There's a real chance he misses Week 16, according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport. Though it may simply be speculation on his part, and Mahomes has dealt with and played through ankle issues before, this is worth monitoring. It may be a bit more serious than his previous ailment.
Is Alvin Kamara Hurt?
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (groin) is dealing with a groin injury that has him in serious danger of missing his team's Week 16 game. Unfortunately for his fantasy managers, the prognosis here is a bit more grim than that of Mahomes -- educated speculation from medical analysts suggests that he's likely to miss time.
#Saints RB Alvin Kamara Injury 🤕
I hate to say it but the Saints may shut him down…
Dealing with a groin/*adductor* muscle injury
The groin is an umbrella term that refers to muscles of the lower abs & inner hip
Adductor muscles specifically refer to those inner hip muscles… https://t.co/8eDbDypxYL pic.twitter.com/nvHGEqFJZl

Fantasy managers should utilize the waiver wire to pick up a running back to replace Kamara if they don't have anyone suitable for their rosters. Saints backup RB Kendre Miller is a fantastic option.
Is Jaylen Waddle Hurt?
Yes, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (knee) is dealing with a knee injury. He was rolled up on while standing up by a Houston Texans defender making a tackle on running back De'Von Achane in Week 16. It's reported that he avoided a major injury, though, and he's now considered day-to-day.

ACL/meniscus at risk but sprain would be best case scenario
Lean towards missing rest of today#Dolphins

It seems that he suffered something minor, like a ligament strain, as the above X post suggests. His status for Week 16 is unclear. This is one you'll need to check up on later. It seems unlikely that he'd miss more than one week if he did end up sitting out at all.
