ANALYSIS: If you need to add a pitcher to your roster, look no further than Reds young stud Anthony DeSclafani.
DeSclafani was a highly touted young arm in the Marlins rotation. He was traded to the Reds in the offseason for Matt Latos, a trade that has not worked out so far for The Fish. DeSclafani has always had impressive stuff, as evidenced by his 8.6 K/9 and 2.6 BB/9 over 104 IP between Double-A and Triple-A in 2014.
To start the season DeSclafani is 2-1 with a 1.04 ERA, 21 Ks, and 6 BB over 26 IP. If you can project those numbers out for an entire season then DeSclafani will be in the running for rookie of the year. That's a bit of an aggressive projection, but his fantasy value is currently on the rise and he should be picked up before it is too late and everyone finds out about him. Do not miss out on a pitcher who might be this year's Jacob deGrom.
