BALLER MOVE: Add in Superflex Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 0.1% of Yahoo Leagues
ANALYSIS: The Carolina Panthers have made a change at the quarterback position. Bryce Young is heading to the bench after two awful performances to start the season, with Andy Dalton taking over under center beginning this week against the Las Vegas Raiders. Fantasy players in standard-size superflex or two-quarterback leagues should add the veteran off the waiver wire.
Sources: The #Panthers are benching former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young and starting veteran Andy Dalton beginning this week.
Coach Dave Canales has repeatedly said “Bryce is our quarterback.” But with the season quickly slipping away, Canales decided to make a change. pic.twitter.com/jTYawQCi2C

Dalton is far from the savior the Panthers need and isn’t the long-term answer at the quarterback position. However, he was productive in his lone start last year, totaling 23.5 fantasy points. The veteran completed only 58.6% of his pass attempts for 361 yards and two touchdowns. Fantasy players should consider him a low-end QB2 option in superflex leagues.
More importantly, the switch at quarterback could mean there are better days ahead for Diontae Johnson, Adam Thielen, and the team’s other pass catchers. While fantasy players shouldn’t start any Carolina pass catchers in Week 3, Johnson and Thielen are solid buy-low candidates.
