In 2015, Andrew McCutchen stole the fewest bases of his career and hit under .300 for the first time since 2011. But that’s about the only bad thing one can write about the man. McCutchen appeared in 157 games and hit to a tune of .292/.401/.488 last year. His 23 HR, 91 R, and 96 RBI were right in line with his offensive output of 2012-2014. Cutch’s career-low of 11 SB can be partly attributed to the knee pain he dealt with early in the season, but the perennial NL MVP candidate is almost 30 and will be less likely to attempt steals going forward. Though he may never crack 20 SB in another season, Cutch is still a decent bet to swipe 15.
Still only 29, the Pirates center fielder is in his hitting prime and should approach .300, 90 R, 90 RBI, and 25 HR. McCutchen is a model of consistency and a top five fantasy outfielder. It should take nothing short of a first round pick to acquire him in 2016.
