ANALYSIS: Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas was a popular sleeper candidate heading into the 2024 season. The Bengals lost Tyler Boyd in free agency, allowing the second-year player to fill the void in the slot. However, Tee Higgins hasn’t played this year because of a hamstring injury, making Iosivas the starter opposite Ja'Marr Chase.
The former Princeton star had a quiet Week 1 performance, totaling 4.1 half-point PPR fantasy points. However, he was outstanding on Sunday. Iosivas had only two receptions on four targets for seven receiving yards. Yet, he had both of Joe Burrow’s passing touchdowns, leading the team’s receiving score in fantasy points (13.7).

Iosivas’ fantasy value will depend on when Higgins returns from his hamstring injury. The second-year player is worth adding in deeper leagues. However, he is also an appealing waiver wire addition in 10 or 12-team leagues if Higgins isn’t playing in Week 3.
Cincinnati faces the Washington Commanders on Monday night. The Commanders have been the most fantasy-friendly team to wide receivers this season, giving up massive performances to Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Malik Nabers. While Iosivas won’t have that kind of production, he should have another double-digit outing if Higgins misses his third consecutive contest.
