BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 6% of leagues
ANALYSIS: New York Mets shortstop Amed Rosario offers an alternative for owners who need speed if they are also looking for run production. The Mets’ second-year man is hitting just .242 on the season, but he has swiped eight bags in nine tries so far in the second half, and he has totaled 35 R+BI in those 26 games as well.
The former top prospect has a .269/.315/.418 since the beginning of August, hitting six extra-base hits, and stealing five bases without being caught stealing. He has also scored 15 runs for the Mets, normally hitting atop of Mets lineup that has found surprising offense strength.
Better suited for an NL-only league, Rosario could provide depth as a MI in deeper leagues or as a fill-in at SS if you are in need of steals. As he was a top prospect, who hit .328 for Triple-A Las Vegas last season, this strong run of play could be the start to a torrid close of the season for the 22-year-old.
