BALLER MOVE: Start in 14+ Team PPR Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB4
ANALYSIS: Las Vegas Raiders running back Alexander Mattison took over the starting RB job from now-backup Zamir White, and will head into a Week 9 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals after carrying the ball 11 times for just 15 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 8. He added five catches for 29 yards, so it wasn't all bad (in PPR).

The Raiders offense is terrible. That doesn't mean Mattison can't at least be somewhat productive for fantasy football, though. His pass-catching ability and a few goal-line opportunities mean he can be viable in deeper leagues as an RB3/FLEX on his good days, and the Bengals aren't quite as brutal of a matchup for RBs as the Chiefs were.
Still, it's possible that this backfield could become an ugly committee. It's ugly enough even when one RB is getting most of the work, but if White gets even one goal-line touch, Mattison's value plummets. It's not the worst situation to have to start No. 22, but you'd really rather have someone else.
