BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 24% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Minnesota Vikings running back Alexander Mattison has received double-digit carries in two of his last three games and is trending in the direction of becoming a must-add running back in all fantasy formats.
Mattison has had an extremely solid rookie year, averaging 4.9 yards per carry with 331 yards on 68 attempts. He's of course been overshadowed by his teammate Dalvin Cook, who currently leads the league with 823 rushing yards, averaging 5.3 yards per carry.
The Vikings have one of the most dominant run games in the league and you'd have to imagine that Mattison will start getting more of a share of the workload going forward. Cook is up to 156 carries on the year, which is already 23 more than he had all of last year, though he only played in 11 games.
With 34 carries over the past three weeks, Mattison might not even need much of an increase, he just needs to start finding the end zone as he only has one score on the season. If Mattison can continue to get double-digit touches regularly, he'll be a viable starting option at flex in leagues of 14 teams or more. If he starts to take on more of a workload, he'll become a must-add in all formats.
