ANALYSIS: Las Vegas Raiders running back Alexander Mattison has been outplaying his teammate Zamir White and could be taking over starting duties very soon.
Through the first four games of the season, Mattison has tallied 87 yards on the ground with two scores. Through the air he has caught seven of his ten targets for 80 yards with an additional score.
Mattison has averaged 5.1 yards per carry while White has posted a mere 3.1 average yards per touch. In addition, White has yet to find the end zone this season while Mattison has in all but one game.

While White has still seen the majority of total attempts and snaps, Mattison was able to out-snap White twice the season and logged at least 19 snaps in three games. In addition, Mattison has seen more red zone touches than White which suggests that the coaching staff favors the former Viking in scoring positions.
Even though the Las Vegas offense has not looked overly impressive this season, Mattison has been one of the few bright spots and could grow into the starting role given White's modest output. He is a solid add in all formats and could become a solid flex play in a matter of weeks.
