BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues.
ANALYSIS: Alex Wood will be back in the Atlanta Braves rotation shortly. Teammate Gavin Floyd left Thursday's start versus the Nationals in the 7th inning with swelling in his right elbow. It was later reported as a broken tip of his right ulna. Floyd's exact status is not known as of this writing but at a minimum, a significant DL stint is expected. We saw Alex Wood pitch quite well early this season and has a 3.26 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, 140 K (138 IP) line in his 2 seasons in the majors. Has been stretched out at Triple-A Gwinnett and pitched well in two starts with a 1.04 ERA in 8.2 IP. With his time in Atlanta's bullpen and Triple-A Gwinnett, it appears that he won't have an innings restriction for the season. Wood can be an above-average source of Ks and put up great ratios as well. Go now and add him in all league format.
