BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 20% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Miguel Sano's hamstring strain has opened a spot in the Twins' lineup, and they've recalled top prospect Alex Kirilloff from the alternate training site to fill it. Kiriloff appeared in one postseason game last year and was the emergency "27th man" for a doubleheader last week, but this is his first official MLB promotion.
A first-round pick in 2016, Kirilloff hit .348/.392/.578 with 20 home runs and 101 RBI in 130 games in A-ball and High-A in 2018. His numbers at Double-A the following season weren't as exciting, but that's at least partly attributable to a nagging wrist injury that he played through and his results were still well above average when adjusted for league and park context.
The 23-year-old will be penciled into the middle of the lineup right away (he's hitting fifth in Friday night's contest) and possesses the power and bat control to be an immediate contributor. A fast start will almost certainly lead to his rostered rate rocketing upward, so you'll want to hop on the train now in 12-teamers and keep a close eye on things in shallower formats.
