BALLER MOVE: Sit
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR5
ANALYSIS: Most of Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce's value is predicated on three long touchdown catches. Outside of the games in which he's made those, he's caught just five passes on 17 targets for 79 yards and zero touchdowns five games.
The Colts wide receivers are massive fantasy winners from the Anthony Richardson to Joe Flacco quarterback switch:
Josh Downs WR34📈WR11
Michael Pittman WR52📈WR28

While he gets an upgrade at quarterback from Anthony Richardson, who was benched, to Joe Flacco, he's far too inconsistent to trust yet. In addition, he has to compete with WRs Michael Pittman Jr., Josh Downs, and Adonai Mitchell for snaps and targets. He's clearly behind Pittman and Downs on the depth chart.
He clearly has earned more playing time than Mitchell, but that hasn't translated to fantasy production. He can't consistently win on his routes and relies mainly on his speed and busted coverages to make splash plays. He's not a good start for Week 9 and moving forward in fantasy football. Indy's passing offense will run mainly through MPJr and Downs for now.

The wide receiver position has an advantage over the running back position in PPR scoring formats, typically.
