ANALYSIS: Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce has been an enigma for fantasy football managers this season. In four of his contests, he's scored 16 or more PPR fantasy points. His totals for the other games have been 5.4, 1.9, 0, 3.5, 2.1, and 7.1. He's the definition of boom-or-bust.

He'll have quarterback Anthony Richardson starting again, who's been one of the most inconsistent signal-callers in the NFL. He's managed just a 44.4% completion rate while completing ridiculous deep passes. Pierce is a speedster and a deep threat. He's a risky start, though.
There are games where Richardson can't get much going at all in the passing game (most of them), but all it takes is one completion on a deep shot and Pierce could have another big day. He's not worth starting, though. His bust games outnumber his boom games, and his 18.1 point total in Week 10 was heavily assisted by garbage-time scoring.
If rookie WR Adonai Mitchell starts getting more snaps, and he deserves them, we could see less of Pierce if lead WR Michael Pittman Jr. is to return. Things are murky on all sides of the team's passing game. It's better to bench Pierce for now.
