Alec Burleson is a top fantasy baseball waiver wire pickup for Week 12 (2024). Fantasy baseball managers should add Burleson as a waiver wire free agent in all leagues.
BALLER MOVE: Add in All Formats
ROSTERED IN: 44% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Alec Burleson remains the most consistent hitter in the Cardinals lineup and has yet to crack 50% rostership across Yahoo leagues for some unknown reason.
One knock on him was his lack of power, but the lefty homered in three straight games last week, bringing his home run total to eight on the season.

Burleson can contribute across the board in four of the main five hitting stats with stolen bases being the only category where he's not going to help out much. He's locked into the 2-hole against RHP for St. Louis and in the midst of a six-game hitting streak.
Burleson has started the last 22 games for St. Louis, he's not a platoon player anymore. He should be universally rostered in fantasy leagues for his steady hitting and production in runs and RBI. The Cardinals need his bat in the lineup every day, especially with injuries to Lars Nootbaar and Tommy Edman.
