ANALYSIS: Because HC Tom Thibodeau is an odd man, he's started Alec Burks at the point in 22 games already. Alec Burks, who's a career two-guard/wing and has pretty much zero experience at the point guard position. Good for us fantasy GMs, playing for Thibs and having his blessings at least comes with a big positive: playing-time upside. That's why Burks is logging 27 MPG over the year, and that figure will only grow ROS with Kemba Walker/Derrick Rose most probably done for the season.
Burks started Friday's game against Miami at the point again. Not Immanuel Quickley. Not Quentin Grimes (also out for a month or so after getting injured then). Not Miles McBride. No, sir. Alec Burks. And of course, Burks played 34 minutes after averaging 23 MPG in the past 16 games (3-13 record, only two starts). Burks might not know how to orchestrate offensive plays nor how to play the point, but he can't be asked for more than he's doing if you ask me.
Burks is averaging an average 9-5-3 per-game line in February with 1.1 stocks per game. The shooting fluctuates game to game, going from 20% to 60% without any reasonable cause. The points should stay above 10+ per game going forward, there will be some treys here and there, and the rest of the cats will only be viable on the classic rebounds/assists front. Other than not, we're betting on bulky minutes here knowing Thibs will most probably operate that way.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 8% of leagues ANALYSIS: The surge of Deni Avdija in all fantasy leaderboards has a very easy-to-grasp reason and that's Kyle Kuzma missing time with an injury.
