BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 18% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Philadelphia Phillies top prospect Alec Bohm made his MLB debut this past Thursday, going 1-for-4 with a double in the game. Bohm is an elite prospect who did a little bit of everything in the minor leagues. Last year, over 125 games split at Double-A, Single-A and High-A, he slashed .305/.378/.518 with 21 home runs, 80 RBI and 76 runs. He struck out just 73 times, compared with 57 walks.
The biggest question right now regarding the 24-year-old Bohm in fantasy terms is playing time. The team has primarily gone with Jean Segura at Bohm's natural position of third base this year. In Bohm's debut, Segura shifted to second base and Scott Kingery, the team's primary second baseman, was the odd man out. Kingery could find himself playing more of a utility role going forward and if that's the case, Bohm becomes a big winner and could provide some significant production this year.
Bohm is worth adding in leagues of 12 teams or deeper. He's a high-upside add with the potential to be a stellar run producer with a solid batting average. Third base is such a deep position that he can probably remain on waivers in shallow leagues for now, but make sure to keep an eye on him.
