Go Premium, Win More!Horford has clearly benefited from the absence of Robert Williams in the Celtics' paint, but the truth is that even with the Time Lord back Old Horford should stay there in the starting lineups of the Celtics daily. Horford has started every single game he's played for three consecutive years, including in the 2022 and 2023 seasons he's spent in Beantown.
The veteran is matching his scoring production from last year (10+ PPG) while pulling down just one fewer block (6+ RPG) and dishing out almost 3 APG compared to a little above three last season. The blocks can't be closer to 1 BPG, so that's another positive on his line of production.
Horford has failed to hit double-digit points in his last two games through Friday (six and five points) but he had 14, 13, and 14 in his prior three hitting 4, 3, and 2 three-point shots.
On the season, Horford (2.1) is the only true center scoring 2+ 3PM per game while pulling down more than 6 RPG. In fact, just 17 players in the Association (no position filter) are actually doing that.
Horford is also adding 0.9 BPG, which is something only he and three other players in that select group are doing: Porzingis, Jabari Smith Jr., and Tatum.
