BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 32% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Adrian Houser has been extremely effective since rejoining the Brewers' rotation in late July. He's allowed exactly one earned run in four of his five starts during this recent stretch and has earned two wins. The Brewers' rotation has been shaky at best for the most part of this season, so there's little reason to think Houser is at risk of losing his spot, even if he slows down a bit.
On the season, Houser is 6-5 with a 3.62 ERA and 1.28 WHIP. He's tallied 85 strikeouts and 28 walks over 82 innings. Only 11 of his 28 appearances on the season have been starts as he was primarily used out of the bullpen in the first half of the season. However, since the Brewers have such a strong stable in the pen right now, Houser is much more needed in a starting role.
Houser should be added in all leagues. Starting pitchers who show as much promise as Houser has for the past month are rare to find and Houser also has the luxury of having the Brewers' offense supporting him. His 85.8 exit velocity against ranks amongst the top 10% of the league and his 24.7% strikeout rate is a fantastic clip for a starter. Don't let another owner beat you to him on the waiver wire. His next start will be Tuesday at home against the Cardinals.
