It wasn't long ago that Adrian Beltre was considered a top option at the third base position, but 2015 marked his second consecutive season with under 20 home runs, and the fourth in which his isolated power declined. The soon-to-be 37-year-old played with a torn ligament in his thumb through much of the second half of the season, but actually performed better after the All-Star break, hitting .318 with 11 home runs as opposed to just a .255 batting average and seven long balls in the first half. There are certainly things to like about Beltre, as he sports an impressive .285 career batting average, but as the power continues to decline, one has to wonder how he will stack up against big power threats at the position such as Nolan Arenado, Todd Frazier and Kris Bryant. With an ADP holding just inside the top-100 heading into 2016, Beltre may be worth passing on in favor of a more steady option, allowing those who are so inclined to gamble on a return to form.
