ANALYSIS: Welcome to the fantasy football map, Adam Thielen. The unknown Thielen put up a monster statistical week with seven catches for 127 yards and one touchdown. However, expectations about a player like this need to be tamed immediately.
Thielen signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2013. He was born in Minnesota, went to Minnesota State, and now plays for the Vikings. He is a hometown favorite for sure.
Fantasy football-wise not so much. Stefon Diggs did not play in Week 5 with a groin injury, but expect him back after the Vikings Week 6 bye. Diggs' absence surely freed up room for Thielen to have a good week. Thielen has only 47 career catches including this past Sunday's statistics against the Texans. Consider his performance a very nice one-hit-wonder and keep him off your radar.
