ANALYSIS: After enjoying four seasons of 20+ HR production, Adam Duvall could not find a regular spot in a lineup until he came to Cincinnati. His .254 BA marks a high point in his short career and he is well on his way to becoming a 20+ HR threat every season he gets a chance at non-platoon playing time.
The big concern for Duvall is his career 30.7 K% compared to his 5.1 BB% while only establishing a .278 OBP. Duvall is an all-or-nothing type of hitter right now and will need to quickly adjust to pitchers taking advantage of him. His .283 ISO and his .536 SLG% show good portions of growth are still left untapped in Duvall's arsenal.
The OF position has been pretty topsy-turvy thus far and Duvall has become trade bait for some owners to buy low on slumping brand name sluggers. However Duvall is a guy that can help someone right now or can be a reliable source if he can avoid the common pitfalls of early season success for unproven MLB hitters. Buy in on Duvall's success to benefit you in any way you can.
