ANALYSIS: This post would have been more positive had yesterday gone a bit better. Conley struggled a bit against the San Francisco Giants, giving up four earned runs in 5.2 innings of work. He yielded seven hits and walked four, so it obviously wasn't his best performance. The Marlins would still get the win but Conley wouldn't factor in the decision. The worst part was that Conley only struck out two. All this being said though, it was a tough matchup and Conley still has a lot of upside.
In his previous two starts, Conley notched at least six innings of work in each. Also, he struck out 17 batters combined in those two outings which included a matchup against the Washington Harpers...I mean Nationals. The numbers don't look great right now, but Conley is worth adding because he is capable of racking up strikeouts and he is still widely available. Up next is a matchup at Miller Park against the Brew Crew.
