BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 1% of Yahoo! leagues
ANALYSIS: The Astros lost shortstop Carlos Correa to yet another stint on the injured list. They recalled unheralded prospect Abraham Toro in his place. Toro is a third baseman, which has allowed Alex Bregman to shift over to shortstop to cover Correa.
Toro hasn't exactly lit the world on fire for Houston thus far, but he's slashing a respectable .216/.310/.432 with two home runs, one stolen base and an excellent 11.9% walk rate.
Toro was a monster in the minor leagues this year, slashing a combined .324/.411/.527 with 17 home runs, four stolen bases and 80 RBI between AA and AAA, quietly rising up the prospect rankings.
The Astros are certainly capable of developing hitters into stars - a la Yordan Alvarez - so Toro is worth a look in 14+ team leagues for those in need of corner infield help. At the very least, AL-only formats should be all over a young player like this, as he has the potential to immediately contribute with nearly everyday reps and raw power.
