Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was limited at practice Wednesday and is listed as questionable due to a right shoulder injury, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. This is troubling news for Rodgers' owners. Even though the Packers as a team have been struggling to get a "W" in the past few games, Aaron Rodgers has put up QB1-like numbers that should satisfy those who start him regularly.
In the past two games, A-Rod has put up 702 yards and six touchdowns with only one interception. His injury status should be closely monitored this week, but owners should fully expect the former two-time league MVP to throw on the pads and helmet this week on the road against the first place Minnesota Vikings. Continue to roll with Rodgers in your QB1 slot and feel confident that the 77-yard performance he had against the Denver Broncos in Week 8 was nothing but an unfortunate outlier.
As Rodgers continues to put up solid numbers, Davante Adams is slowly becoming his number one target. Adams was highly-coveted in this year's fantasy football draft once the injury to Jordy Nelson occurred. However, the injury bug also hit Adams very early in the season as he was dealing with an injured ankle. Fantasy owners who patiently stored Adams on their bench have finally started earning dividends on their stock.
In the past two games, Davante has turned in 17 catches for 172 yards. If those numbers weren't stellar enough, Adams has been targeted a whopping 32 times in those games (and no that is not a typo). He doesn't have any touchdowns this year, but with that type of usage he's bound to score soon. Rodgers and Adams will look to keep the connection going Week 11 against the Vikings in Minnesota. Firmly plant Davante Adams in your WR2 slot, but don't be surprised if he puts up WR1-type numbers.
