The Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos are heading into week 8 without a loss, each coming off a bye week. Aaron Rodgers now has Davante Adams back from a hampering ankle injury that has kept him sidelined since Week 3. His return only makes Green Bay's offense that much scarier with Randall Cobb and James Jones all healthy.
It won’t be easy against a Broncos defense allowing a league low five passing touchdowns for the year, tied with only the St. Louis Rams and the Carolina Panthers. Rodgers will find ways to score, as he runs one of the most explosive offenses in the game today.
The run game will also be a tough task to get going, as Denver is only allowing 89.2 rushing yards per game, ranking 4th in the NFL. Eddie Lacy and James Starks (currently questionable) will look to split time all game, and probably won’t be doing much damage in Denver tonight.
None of the Packers wideouts have been consistent throughout the year so far, and while I’m sure Rodgers will have a favorite tonight, it’s always a toss-up as to which receiver will be the flavor of the week.
Denver’s tough secondary might be the Packers biggest threat so far this season, so it’ll be interesting to see how Green Bay adjusts to whatever Denver throws at them. Nevertheless, Rodgers and company should prevail tonight against the aging Peyton Manning.
