BALLER MOVE: Target ~275
CURRENT ADP: ~357
ANALYSIS: Yankees fans are certainly excited about today's news that Aaron Judge will start the season in right field. He promises to take the term "Bronx Bomber" to the next level with his massive power stroke. Fantasy owners may also want to take a chance on Judge, given his immense potential. He stroked 20 home runs across two levels in 2015 and then 19 homers in Triple-A last season before getting a late call-up. His brief time in pinstripes last August started off as well as it possibly could have gone. In the midst of Sanchez-mania, Judge hit a home run in each of his first two games.
The rest of the time didn't go so well, resulting in a .179 average and ridiculous 44.2% K%. He seemed over-matched by big league pitching for the most part, but this spring is a different story. Judge is slashing .344/.403/.557 with three HR, seven RBI in 61 AB. It's a good sign that he is focusing more on contact because the power will always be there. Expectations should be tempered with Judge, since he is still a rookie, but his value gets a major boost now that he is guaranteed early playing time.
