BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB1/2
ANALYSIS: For much of the season, Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones just hasn't looked like himself as he's played through a hamstring injury since Week 1. He doesn't appear to be fully recovered yet, but he's finally starting to get back to a workload that resembles what we're used to seeing with Jones, who has three 1,000-yard seasons to his name.
Jones didn't have a game with double-digit carries until Week 9 this season, but he's gone over that amount in consecutive weeks. In Week 10 against the Rams, he had 20 carries for 73 yards and a score and was targeted six times. Last week, the carries dropped to 13, but the targets remained level.
That's not to say the increased volume makes Jones a high-end RB1 all of a sudden. He's clearly still not running like his old self, as he averaged just 2.7 yards per carry last week. Still, with Jones getting more volume now and the hamstring assumedly improving by the week, he's back to being a solid fantasy option.
Heading into this game against the Chargers, Jones is right on the borderline between RB1 and RB2. I still wouldn't feel great if he was the best running back on my fantasy team, but he has a chance for a really productive week.
