BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 42% of Yahoo leagues
ANALYSIS: Aaron Hicks generated some buzz as a value pick in drafts this spring after putting up an .847 OPS, 15 home runs, and 10 stolen bases in just 361 plate appearances last season. With a stellar supporting cast around him, fantasy owners didn't have to squint too hard to see a potential four-category contributor. Unfortunately, Hicks strained his right intercostal muscle (AKA his ribs) on Opening Day. He was activated on Thursday after spending just a couple of days more than the minimum required stint on the disabled list.
Available in over half of Yahoo leagues at the moment, Hicks could easily build on his 2017 breakout if he can stay healthy. That was a problem last year, in fact - Hicks was on pace for a 30/20 season with 100+ runs and RBI before a strained oblique limited him to just 28 games over the season's second half, in which he hit a less-than-inspiring .218/.319/.396. There's considerable upside here, provided he's 100 percent. In most leagues, all it'll cost you to speculate is a roster spot.
