BALLER MOVE: Start in 14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB4
ANALYSIS: After seeing double-digit carries in five of the first six games, Green Bay Packers running back A.J. Dillon has had under 10 carries in three consecutive games. The reason for a reduction in touches is fairly clear, as starting running back Aaron Jones appears to be at his healthiest point this season.
Dillon has still done well on a per-play basis. Last week he had just nine carries, but finished with 70 yards, a 7.78 yards per carry average. He also added an 11-yard catch.
The problem is that with Dillon's role clearly trending down, he has to keep that efficiency up and his overall season numbers don't suggest that's something fantasy managers can depend on. Last week was the only time this season that Dillon has averaged over 4.5 yards per carry.
All this is to say that he's a risky fantasy this week against the Chargers. Los Angeles has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game to the running back position, but Aaron Jones is likely to be the guy who benefits the most from that, not Dillon.
Dillon's in play as an RB4 option this week, but his outlook simply isn't very great based on recent usage patterns.
