Jorge Soler Expected To Be A Hot Target
3 years agoFree-agent outfielder/designated hitter Jorge Soler is expected to receive interest from a number of teams now that free agency talks have resumed. According to MLB.com's Mark Feinsand, Soler received interest from over six teams prior to the lockout. And now that the designated hitter spot is officially coming to the National League, the interest in Soler should only increase. Soler struggled out of the gate with the Kansas City Royals last year, but he provided a huge boost to the Atlanta Braves after joining the club in July. Over 55 regular season games with the Braves, he slashed .269/.358/.524 with 14 home runs and 33 RBI. He also of course raked in the postseason and went on to take home World Series MVP honors.
