3 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Sam Ehlinger suddenly became the top quarterback on the team's depth chart this week, following the trade of starter Carson Wentz to the Washington Commanders. James Morgan is the only other quarterback currently rostered by the team. While the Colts will certainly add another quarterback to join Ehlinger and Morgan, there's speculation that Ehlinger will get a solid look as a starting option for the team. In an article for The Athletic on Wednesday, Zak Keefer reported that a source suggested that even as the Colts look to add another quarterback, we shouldn't rule out Ehlinger "getting a chance at the starting job." The 23-year-old Ehlinger was a sixth-round pick out of Texas last year. He barely saw the field as a rookie and will certainly need a strong offseason to earn the team's support as a starting option.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
