3 years agoWebb Simpson (back) returns to the PGA Tour after a two-month layoff while dealing with a bulging disc injury. It's difficult to say how healthy Simpson is as he comes to TPC Sawgrass this week, but we think the extended layoff will have him feeling pretty good. Simpson, a former Players Champion, certainly has some good vibes at this event, and if he is healthy enough, he could be a major factor this week. Simpson also has two other top-20 finishes at TPC Sawgrass to go along with his win in 2018. Prior to his injury, Simpson had gotten off to a good start in the 2021-2022 season with a 14th-place finish at the CJ Cup and an eighth-place finish at the RSM Classic. As he's shown in the past, his game sets up well at this course, where he doesn't have to be long off the tee and can dominate with his short game.--Owen Vrabel - RotoBaller
