MLB reliever Lucas Sims is a potential 2022 fantasy baseball sleeper and ADP draft value. Target him as an undervalued RP and late-round sleeper.

CURRENT ADP: ~244 overall
ANALYSIS: Cincinnati doesn’t owe Sims the job, I know, but his stretch run last year should give him the upper hand. Despite logging zero saves following his August return from an elbow injury, Sims would post a 32/3 K/BB with seven earned runs in just 18 ⅓ IP of work. If you only look at Sims’ final 15 appearances then you get a hilarious 25 strikeouts and zero walks over 14 ⅓ IP. Zero walks!

That is exactly the type of reliever upside I’m chasing later in the draft. He leaned on the slider more and added a couple of MPH ticks to it with strong results. This type of talent would be worth a flier even if there was an established option ahead of him. While Amir Garrett and Art Warren hold some intrigue, the majority of my draft money is on Sims and that super-saiyan finish. Just keep that slider sharp, Sims, and we’ll be gravy.
