3 years agoAtlanta Hawks power forward/center Onyeka Okongwu (head) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Chicago Bulls. The second-year big man suffered a blow to the head in Tuesday's game against the Boston Celtics. He went into concussion protocol after the incident and he won't be clearing protocol in time for Thursday's game. Okongwu has shown some flashes of fantasy potential, but hasn't earned enough minutes yet to truly break through. In February, he played 18.7 minutes per game and averaged 7.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 75.6% from the field. With Okongwu out on Thursday, Gorgui Dieng will be the Hawks' backup center behind Clint Capela.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
