Michael Porter Jr. Targeting March Return
3 years agoDenver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. (spine) is expected to be cleared for on-court contact drills within the next week, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Porter's agent Mark Bartelstein told Wojnarowski that this timeline would allow Porter to return to the Nuggets at some point in March. Porter had lumbar spine surgery in early November. He was off to a sluggish start to the year prior to the injury, averaging just 9.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game while shooting 35.9% from the field. Porter has immense upside, as exemplified when he averaged 19.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.8 threes per game last year. He's worthy of an IL spot in most season-long leagues if you have one available.
