Dolphins Sign Fullback John Lovett
3 years agoThe Miami Dolphins signed former Green Bay Packers fullback John Lovett to a one-year deal on Friday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Dolphins also signed defensive end Daeshon Hall on Friday. Lovett played in eight games for the Packers in 2020, carrying the ball only three times for six yards and also recording four special teams tackles. The 25-year-old tore his ACL midway through the 2020 season and wasn't with a team last year. Lovett entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Princeton, and he also spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019. New Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel comes from the 49ers, who have used a fullback more than any team in the NFL in recent years.
