Jason Day Has Strong Course History, Weak Recent Form
3 years agoJason Day knows a thing or two about success at Torrey Pines. He's won the Farmers Insurance Open twice and has two additional top-five finishes at this event. Unfortunately, Day doesn't have much else going for him when you dive into stats and recent performances. Last week's T49 was the first time he has finished inside the top-50 of a PGA Tour event since July. He has also now lost strokes on approach in six consecutive events, which does not bode well for a demanding course like Torrey Pines. While the numbers would suggest staying away from Day, maybe there's a chance he regains a touch of magic this week in La Jolla. He's a GPP-only DFS play.
