3 years agoThis will be Xander Schauffele's (OWGR No. 7) seventh stab at the Farmers Insurance Open. The San Diego native struggled early in his career at this tournament, missing the cut in four of his first five attempts. But he seemed to figure Torrey Pines out in 2021 with a T2 finish in January, followed by a T7 finish at the US Open in June. His outstanding length off the tee (ranked 22nd last year in driving distance) should help the American continue to improve at this layout.
